Bootcamp

A fitness bootcamp is a type of high intensity physical exercise inspired by military training from various times and cultures, such as training practised by ancient Spartans or Romans, or the one that was developed in various parts of Europe in the 19th century and in the United States of America last century for their marines.

At the end of the 90s, the method became popular beyond the military and professional sports scopes.

At Tenorio Rural Bootcamp we give a twist to that concept with a positive and inclusive approach, emphasising the value of community work, even if we respect interpersonal distance to avoid the spread of COVID-19.

We focus mainly on functional exercises, that is, those that can be transferred to anyone’s daily routine (squats, pushes, pulls, weightlifting, etc.).

But we also perform other movements that can help improve our physical condition just because they are fun to do once they are mastered or fun to learn (handstands, flexibility exercises, etc.).

We also train for preparing OCR (Obstacle Course Racing) and other sports.

Every person works within their capabilities, but with high intensity, so that everyone approaches their own limits with the intention of surpassing them one day. It is then normal that our heartbeat and breathing accelerate, and that we get very tired during these sessions, sometimes more mentally than physically, but your coach and the group will be there to cheer for you.

It is a very efficient type of exercise that brings multiple benefits, but you should consider whether it is suitable for your current situation, although adaptations can always be made.
